A medium-strength DEET repellent designed for use in tropical areas to help protect against the risk of malaria and other insect-borne diseases such as dengue fever, west nile virus and filariasis. Each application of Expedition 50 lasts 5-8 hours.
DEET is effective against stinging insects as well as ticks. DEET is the most effective against (malaria) mosquitoes and gadflies, ticks and bloodsuckers and reasonably effective against large horseflies, nits and midges.
One x 100 ml unit will last one person approximately 4 weeks of daily use. It is important to spread DEET over all unprotected parts of the skin in accordance with the instructions.
