A mosquito net impregnated with a contact insecticide offers extra protection against stinging/biting insects. The insects cannot sting through the net, and the insect still cannot strike home even if there are small openings in the net. The WHO (World Health Organisation) advises the use of an impregnated net when staying in malaria-infested areas in Asia, Africa, Central and South America.

Long Lasting Impregnation (LLI) is a product of the latest impregnation technology. This was originally developed on behalf of the WHO to lengthen the effectiveness of impregnated mosquito nets. The impregnated mosquito nets which are used for such things as malaria projects remain effective longer with this method. The application of the Long Lasting technology means that the mosquito net can be washed many times without losing its effectiveness.
